Firestone Specialty Products manufactures high-quality, durable geomembrane systems used in a wide variety of critical containment applications including animal waste containment, anaerobic digesters and covers, irrigation canals and constructed wetlands. Our product offerings include Firestone EPDM, EPDM-R, EcoWhite EPDM, fPP and fPP-R geomembranes, as well as a full line of accessories.

Additionally, Firestone Specialty Products offers an array of Water Management Solutions products. Our product line includes the highly innovative EPIC™ (Environmental Passive Integrated Chamber) System. This system is an onsite water management and reuse system designed to collect, filter, retain and distribute water below ground. Bringing together passive subsurface irrigation, water
storage and filtration in a single, customizable solution, the Firestone EPIC System utilizes capillary rise and gravity to provide controlled water management. Whether you are looking for water management solutions to create green space or for use in irrigating you crops, you can reuse the stormwater run-off from parking lots, roads, buildings and other hard services to achieve hydrologic responsibility.

To further create or improve drainage and green spaces, we offer permeable pavers and turf reinforcement products. These products can be used in conjunction with or separately from the EPIC System.

• Firestone Netlon ATS (Advanced Turf System) - consists of small interlocking, three-dimensional polyethylene mesh elements. When integrated into the sand base profile Netlon creates a reinforced layer that resists compaction, increases load-bearing capacities, while enhancing infiltration properties. Netlon ATS forms a surface that provides “memory,” which allows vegetation to spring back to shape. This engineered mesh solution provides superior drainage capabilities, while resisting the creation of ruts.

A Netlon ATS profile helps create turfs that are suitable for equestrian stables, vehicle access routes, parking, sporting sites and recreational event sites. Netlon ATS can be used as an erosion control measure in high slope applications, promoting consistent vegetation growth.

• Firestone NetPave 50 Permeable Pavers - are ideal for converting traditionally impervious spaces into multi-functional green spaces or gravel surfaces. Made from 100% recycled polyethylene, the 50 mm (1.97 in) thick pavers have a patented double interlocking grid pattern that is strong enough to bear loads up to 300 ton/m2 (18.58 ton/ft2), when properly installed. The significant load-bearing capacity of NetPave 50 makes it an excellent choice for access routes used by heavy farm equipment.

With its flexible and lightweight features, NetPave 50 can be easily installed over irregular surfaces. The composition of this modular paver resists deformation and fracture, but can be easily cut to fit around obstructions and contours. A flexible NetPave 50 system can be filled with gravel to make a permeable parking area that is available for immediate use, without gravel displacement or loss. Alternatively, the pavers can be set into prepared soil and seeded to develop a multi-functional grass area that can accommodate vehicle and pedestrian traffic, as well as parking. NetPave 50 has an open base structure that will not inhibit vegetation root growth.

• Firestone TurfGuard is an extruded polyethylene mesh that can reduce surface wear, provide erosion control and protect overall turf quality. Whether installed in newly seeded soil or on existing grass, the mesh system can increase the load bearing capacity for light traffic use. Once installed, the upgraded field does not require any special maintenance and can be mowed and maintained as usual.

TurfGuard can be permanently anchored into the earth or it can be used in temporary applications to give extra protection to turf for short term use. Cleanup can be as simple as rolling the TurfGuard mesh sheet back up and storing it in a safe place. When anchored into prepared soil and sown with seeds to cultivate a new field, the developing vegetation intertwines with the flexible mesh system to create a natural appearing, reinforced grass area.
